Cendio Supports GPL Version 3

The GNU General Public License, or GPL, is today the most common form of license for free software and Open Source.  Free Software Foundation, the organization behind the GPL, has recently updated, modernized and clarified the license in a number of ways and released version 3.

Cendio AB hereby wants to express its support for FSF and the GPL version 3. -"We find that GPL version 3 is an improvement over older versions and that it fulfills the requirements of a modern license for Open Source." says Peo Moosberg, the CEO of Cendio.  He continues: "We will from now on switch over our programs that are released under the GPL to the new version, and also encourage the Open Source projects we are part of to switch."

Cendio AB wants to express its conviction that GPL version 3 is a well suited license for the enterprises that want to license their programs as Open Source. One advantage is that it is better adapted to international law, which is important int the global world we are living in today.
