Single-signon for Citrix ICA servers now available
ThinLinc features a single-signon mechanism that makes it possible to connect to external application servers, such as the RDP based Windows Terminal Services, without prompting the user for a password. This functionality has now been extended to support Citrix ICA servers as well, and is based on the Citrix ICA client for UNIX.
Even though the RDP and ICA protocol are close in terms of functionality, there are cases when it is useful to be able to connect to Windows servers using the ICA protocol. For example, the Citrix ICA server might be configured to disallow the RDP protocol. Or, perhaps the organization has a large number of applications published through Citrix Program Neighborhood. Migrating these to SeamlessRDP would require extra effort.
Our Citrix integration makes it easy to migrate from Citrix to ThinLinc, as well as from Windows to Linux-based desktops, opening up access to the world of Open Source.
The software and documentation for this feature will be available in the next ThinLinc release. If you would like to use this feature now, please contact us.
