Packaging common solution for Windows and Linux on the same desktop Fujitsu Siemens Computers begins a strategic cooperation with the Swedish Cendio AB which develops ThinLinc, a solution for server based computing.
24 May 2006 SCA chooses ThinLinc!
SCA – Centralization using ThinLincSCA started a project aiming to centralize the production application Plain. The goal of this project was to recude the costs and the amount of administration for each instance of Plain. Today all Plain installations are scattered over the world; the aim is to centralize as many instances of Plain as possible to a central server in Gothenburg without losing functionality. This will lower the cost for running Plain considerably. In order to achieve this result, they elected to use the terminal server solution ThinLinc.

Cendio is proud to announce our latest ThinLinc release, version 1.5.0. This version includes several new features as well as many corrections. In total, this release contains more than 150 enhancements.
15 Mar 2006 ThinLinc increases the quality in the schools of Kristinehamn
In 2005 the municipality performed an analysis and a project which revealed big differences in the quality of the IT support for the different schools. The analysis also showed that there were big gains to be made from looking over the IT environment of the schools. In 2006 a solution for creating a more cost efficient maintenance for the schools is implemented, at the same time as they want to make sure all students gets the same high quality in their education.

The ThinLinc client is now available as a package for thin clients running ThinStation, an Open Source thin client Linux distribution that can be network-booted or run via LiveCD.
