New Linux Based Thin Client Solution

Cendio Systems presents a Server Solution without licensing fees.

Cendio Systems announces a new Thin Client Solution. The Linux and Open Source based Solution is aimed at schools, governmental organizations and companies interested in introducing thin clients in order to save money.

On top of the general savings by thin clients, mainly in support and maintenance, the new solution enables additional savings since it is without licensing fees. The solution also makes it possible for schools, as an example, to use old desktops for a prolonged period.

-Our new solution should be seen as a substitute to the Citrix or Tarantella platforms, Inge Wallin, Vice President of Cendio Systems says. The main difference is that our solution is modular, which enables clients to tailor-make their systems.

Cendio's consultants will adapt the solution to each every case. The services includes analysis, hardware and implementation as well as support and maintenance. The solution, which is run on Linux certified hardware, makes it possible to keep existing Windows or Unix based applications.

Cendio's new solution for thin clients are presented today, friday, to selected clients and partners in a seminar in Linkoping, Sweden.
