ThinLinc VMware Player Image

Please note that the VMware image is currently running ThinLinc 1.6.0, not 2.0.0. A new version will be released soon
The ThinLinc VMware Player Image enables you to jumpstart testing ThinLinc in your own network. Download the image, load it in VMware Player, and you're off!
The Image also enables you to test ThinLinc in environments where a firewall prevents you from using our demo system by blocking outgoing connections to port 22.
Contents of the Image
After downloading the image and starting it up in VMware Player, you have a fully working ThinLinc installation on your network. The image comes preinstalled with a large set of applications, including OpenOffice and Graphics Applications such as the GIMP.
The image comes with CrossOver Office installed, showing ThinLinc's ability to run legacy Windows Applications in a Server Based Computing environment based on Linux.
Unlimited Administrative Access
The image gives you unlimited administrative access, allowing you to test the ThinLinc administrative tools, and to test integration with your network, for example by connecting ThinLinc and Novell eDirectory or Microsoft Active Directory and Netware or Windows-based fileservers.
Download and Test!
Proceed to the download page to register and download the image, read the usage instructions and start testing!
Performance
Please note that the performance of ThinLinc sessions are greatly reduced by the fact that it's running inside a virtual machine, especially if the host running VMware has limited resources. Expect much better performance in a production environment.
Sound Support
Many of the applications in the image uses sound for different purposes. ThinLinc has full sound support, even for applications running in CrossOver Office.
