Included with ThinLinc is a tool called the ThinLinc Desktop Customizer (TLDC), which is used to manage user's desktops.
Menu structure and contents as well as which icons should appear on the desktop can be configured for each user based on the user's group memberships, username, ThinLinc profile or any other criteria - in ThinLinc 1.6.0 and later a script can be used to decide which profile to apply. This opens up for integration with for example eDirectory, deciding desktop content based on organizational unit (OU).
The Desktop Customizer works with both Gnome and KDE.
The Desktop Customizer can be used in conjunction with the KDE Kiosktool. This enables the administrator to control which features the user may use and configure, and gives full control over which applications should be available.
Further details on the ThinLinc Desktop Customizer are found in the ThinLinc Administrator's Guide.
