16.4. Adding and Editing Printers
The first thing you should set up is the list of printers. Enter the printers module by clicking its icon. You will be presented with a list of currently existing printers. This could be something like the example in Figure 16.2.
Figure 16.2 shows two installed printers; charon and io.
To edit a printer, click on its name in the list.
To add a new printer to the list you press the button. This will bring up an empty printer edit form. See Figure 16.3 for an example.
The only editable fields in this view is the Name and the Description fields. To save changes, press the button. When you have pressed the button you will see that the Name field will change from being an editable field to become a static text label. To assure data integrity between the modules you aren't allowed to change the name of an item after it's added.
After the addition or when you click on an existing printer in the printer list the interface will look like Figure 16.4.
The button is used to save changes made to the printer. The button deletes the currently viewed printer.
