3.3.  Client Requirements

3.3.1.  Native Microsoft Windows Client Requirements

The supported Windows versions are 2000, XP, XP Embedded, 2003, and Vista. Windows CE is currently not supported.

3.3.2.  Native Linux Client Requirements

  • Any distribution based on GLIBC 2.2.5 (built with GCC 3.X), or newer.

  • Pentium (i586) or compatible CPU

  • 32 MiB RAM

Note

The Linux client may work on other Linux distributions as well.

3.3.3.  Native Solaris Client Requirements

  • Sun Solaris® 8 or 9 on UltraSPARC. When using redirected local drives, the package SUNWscpu needs to be installed.

3.3.4.  Native Mac OS X Client Requirements

  • Mac OS X 10.3 (PowerPC platform) or Mac OS X 10.4 (Intel platform).

3.3.5.  Browser Clients

The Java Browser Client can be used with any browser that supports SSL and Java 1.4.2 or newer. This version is also required by the Native Client Verification Applet.

3.3.6.  ThinLinc Client Operating System (TLCOS)

  • Pentium (i586) or compatible CPU

  • 128 MiB RAM

  • 1.5 GiB hard disk
