This document describes the ThinLinc administration module for Webmin , called tladm . The administration module is installed by the ThinLinc installation program if the alternative "Install Webmin" is selected. After installation, point a web browser to http://<hostname>:10000, and log in using 'root' as username and the root password. For security reasons, make sure you either connect to Webmin over a secure network, or activate the SSL support. See the section below for a link to documentation on how to activate SSL.
The tladm Webmin module is located under "Servers".
This document does not describe other Webmin modules, or the Webmin tool in general. For more information about Webmin , refer to:
The Swell Technology Webmin guide, included on the ThinLinc server-CD in doc/swell_webminguide.pdf and available at http://www.swelltech.com/support/webminguide/.
The Webmin FAQ at http://www.webmin.com/faq.html.
Using SSL with Webmin at http://www.webmin.com/ssl.html.
Note
If you're running Red Hat Linux, the DAG: Apt/Yum RPM repository has well-working perl-Net-SSLeay packages. Install the package built for your variant of RHL and restart Webmin . It will then be possible to configure SSL in Webmin without further trouble.
The ThinLinc module is broken up into several sections to address different aspects of ThinLinc configuration:
Sessions, for viewing and terminating sessions. This section is described in Section 16.2, “ The Sessions Section ”.
Locations, for configuring printer locations
Terminals
Printers
Desktop Customizer, for configuring desktops. This section is described in Chapter 17, Building Custom Linux Desktops with the ThinLinc Desktop Customizer .
Session/License Statistics allows the tladm user to get an overview of how many licensese are in use.
These sections are described in more detail below.
