Description Peter Åstrand cendio 2006-11-10 14:23:05 CET
Report from Kristinehamn. They have activated screensavers on their Futro
terminals. When running a TL session and the screensaver is about to start, the
mouse pointer disappears. The screensaver does not start in this case. Version
details:

futro a230
Bios TR2350_061506_01
OS=eLux Ng
OSversion=1.28-1

I've confirmed this bug with one of our A200 Futros. It only happens when using
a screensaver. It works when using the "Power Save" feature. I'll ask if this is
good enough for Kristinehamn.

I guess the real cause is, as many times before, a disagreement of how full
screen mode is supposed to work. Xscreensaver is used and historically, jwz has
had a very different view of the subject. One strange thing, though, is that
this problem does not occur when running rdesktop. It might be that rdesktop
and/or xscreensaver is patched to work together.

This problem was likely caused by the fact that the old client was using override-redirect fullscreen, instead of EWMH. eLux NG is also out of date now. Should work now.

No NG client left. No testing to be done.
