Description Pierre Ossman cendio 2006-11-23 13:25:52 CET
There is some issue with the pulse plug-in for ALSA that causes speaker-test (a
test tool, part of ALSA) to fail:

https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2601

We should probably have a look at it in case it affects other applications.

*SIGH*

ALSA's code is _really_ hard to follow. After an entire afternoon of unraveling
ALSA's parameter refinement system, I finally found the problem.

The code is too messy for me to see an obvious fix, but I've reported what the
problem is upstream. Hopefully they can do a fix.

Works fine with current versions of ALSA.

How boring. But works.
