Now that we don't have TLCOS anymore, it would be good to have an alternative to ThinStation for customers wanting to use "thinned" clients. We should evaluate IGEL's UDX and see if it is suitable for this purpose, and perhaps write about it in the whitepaper and other documentation.
A copy of the most recent UDC2 USB installation image is now at chavez:/import/mirrors/manual_mirrors/UDC2_v5. Can also be downloaded from [1]. The directory also contains a license file, which is bound to the following MAC addresses (can be used on both): 00:30:05:FB:53:32 00:30:05:FB:54:15 These machines are 2 old course machines which are now labled "IGEL UDCV5". Last night's 4.1.1post installs and runs fine, have only tested basic functionality.
We should consider evaluating Wyse's similar offering as well so it doesn't seem like we're just advocating a single vendor.
