Description Pierre Ossman cendio 2019-08-12 10:10:35 CEST
Our ThinStation package is currently just 32 bit, meaning you cannot get the performance advantage 64 bit gives you when using such clients.

Perhaps we should simply replace the current package with a 64 bit one. ThinStation seems to be very 64 bit focused these days anyway.
Comment 2 Pierre Ossman cendio 2019-12-16 16:18:26 CET
Thinstation is 64-bit only now, so our Thinstation package is currently entirely worthless.

Fortunately Thinstation has modified their system to download the dynamic 64-bit tar ball, so it works fine with their own packaging.

(We also seem to have some issue with our startup script)

This got fixed as part of removing the 32-bit clients for bug 7962.

I've tested the new package on ThinStation 6.2.13 and things seem to be working okay. Note that I've only tested the basic functionality and not any of the more advanced features such as local device redirection.

Marking as resolved.

When testing this, note that we have a couple of open bugs related to the ThinStation package. Primarily bug 7460 and bug 4713.

I'm guessing the documentation needs to be updated to state that Thinstation 6 is required? Or maybe remove that note since 6 can be assumed?

Besides the known bugs, the updated client seems to work fine. Just tested minimal testing, but there are no errors in tlclient.log connecting and starting all services.

Also checked the commit, and the source tree, and everything looks good.

Documentation got update on bug 7460, so nothing more to do here.
