Troubleshooting tab
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The :guilabel:`Troubleshooting` tab contains options useful when
investigating problems with the ThinLinc client. This includes settings
for controlling the amount of information written to the client logs and
quick access to the log file directory.

Description of troubleshooting tab settings
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Here follows a detailed description of the settings available in the
troubleshooting tab.

:guilabel:`Log levels`
   This section controls how much information the ThinLinc client writes
   to its log files. Higher log levels provide more detailed information
   which can be useful when troubleshooting, but may also increase the
   size of the generated log files.

   The available log levels are:

   :guilabel:`Errors only`
      Only errors are written to the log.

   :guilabel:`Warnings and errors`
      Warnings and errors are written to the log.

   :guilabel:`Information, warnings, and errors`
      Informational messages, warnings, and errors are written to the
      log. This is the default setting.

   :guilabel:`Debugging`
      Enables debugging output intended for troubleshooting, in addition
      to informational messages, warnings, and errors. This is the
      recommended log level for most debugging scenarios.

   :guilabel:`Advanced debugging`
      Enables additional debugging output intended for advanced
      troubleshooting, in addition to normal debugging output,
      informational messages, warnings, and errors. May open additional
      debugging consoles on some platforms.

:guilabel:`Open folder`
   Pressing this button opens the folder containing the ThinLinc client
   log files using the native file manager on the local system. This can
   be useful when inspecting logs manually or when providing log files
   for support.
