Description Samuel Mannehed cendio 2023-09-20 14:21:53 CEST
When using public key authentication with a password protected key, the user needs to provide the password every time.

Many operating systems have local keychains that can hold these keys, and remember the passwords during a session. It is likely that users expect to only need to provide this password once.

We'd like to stay away from having our own key management daemon with all the security implications that has. So this request is likely fully solved by having support for the system key management daemon, i.e. bug 4534.

Closing as a duplicate of that bug.
